Class Format
“A charter school can create a delivery system that individualizes and customizes education to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse student population. . . ” – Sandy Garrett, State Superintendent of Public Instruction
The Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences has created a course structure that facilitates the learning opportunities of its students. The format includes:
- Seventy-minute classes that meet five days per week.
- Small class sizes with a target ratio of sixteen (16) students to one (1) faculty member.
- Three “trimesters”, of fifty nine days each, replacing the traditional two semesters per year.
